Welcome to Room 14!

Welcome to Room 14’s class blog! I will be using the blog to keep you informed about things happening within the classroom and any important messages.

We have had a wonderful start to the year in Room 14. It has been a busy time settling back into being at school and learning new routines and expectations. The excitement of being back at school has been encouraging to see, especially the way our new students (and teachers) have been welcomed into the classroom. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the enthusiasm for learning that Room 14 has shown continue throughout the year.

Over the coming weeks, there will be a greater emphasis placed on co-operative learning and collaborative learning teams. This will empower the students to have more control over their learning in terms of keeping themselves organised, staying on task and making sure activities are completed. Within the classroom collaborative learning teams, students will be given responsibilities such as collecting resources, setting group goals and working to a time limit.

If you have a question during the year, please do not hesitate to speak to me about it. I am here to work with you to ensure the students in Room 14 have an enjoyable and engaging year.

Thank you for your support in creating a wonderful start to Year 2.
